4:33 am	Photos: Abandoned Home with Pool A family had lived in this home for the past sixty years but finally sold it and moved to Freeport. They left furniture, clothing and many personal belongings inside the house. A citation from the City of Houston about the hazardous swimming pool was taped on the front door. I wish that I'd been able to take more shots of the toxic swimming pool area, but it was around 100 degrees that day and I'd already spent a few hours taking photos inside the stiflingly-hot abandoned home. 4:18 pm	Detail of an unfinished pastel drawing Click "Read More" to see larger image. I used 50-year-old pastels on the Dark Wizard's hair and robes. The innocent girl has a circle of Love Potion bottles spinning around her. The Evil Wizard has a circle of Poison bottles and flasks. The last the step of the finished piece would have been to smear the bottles so that they look to be spinning in two circles around the characters, creating something of a stylized heart shape.
